On Sunday 19th October, EHCCA singers joined with the choir of All Saints’ Hockerill, (Stansted Road, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire CM23 2DY) for a Festival Evensong and Benediction. The service was attended by a sizeable congregation. There were around 50 singers in all. The service was led by the vicar and Chaplain of EHCCA, Fr Simon Vivian. The choir was directed by Oliver Bond, the Director of Music at the church, and the organist was Richard Carr. At 5.15, before the service, Jane Watts gave an excellent organ recital.
On Sunday 12th October (afternoon) there was a preparatory rehearsal, led by Oliver Bond, of the music for this service. It was held from 2.30-4.30 in St Catherine and St Pauls, Pauls Lane, HODDESDON, EN11 8TR.
