EHCCA will again be singing Evensong in St Albans Cathedral on the first Saturday after Christmas – 30th December 2023.
Music list is: Responses – Anthony Wilson; Psalm – 65 A COPY IS HERE please read it through (aloud if possible) because there are a number of long sentences on reciting notes; Canticles – Wood in E flat (No 2); Anthem – R R Terry: Myn lyking (Carols for Choirs 2 page 84); Office Hymn – “I cannot tell why he, whom angels worship” (Tune: Londonderry Air (O Danny Boy)), CP 54 for those who use Common Praise. If you want copies of the music beforehand and cannot get them through your own church, please email to the Secretary
On Dec 30th, we will rehearse from 2.00 – 3.15 in the Alban Room (Chapter House). We then move to the Quire for a rehearsal with the organ from 3.30 – 4.45, The service will be at 5.00 p.m. (Please note the time).
PLEASE NOTE that The Dean would like to invite the choir to drinks following Evensong in the Cathedral House.
